Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Biggie Auto is a repair, diesel, towing and vehicle sales shop in Marquette, Nebraska, near Grand Island. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets out what personal information we collect, how we use and store it, and who we share it with. It applies to our customers, to our employees, and to anyone visiting this website.
If we change how we handle personal information in a material way, we will update this Policy and post the change here. If we ever want to use your information in a way this Policy does not describe, we will ask you first.
Information We Collect
Service and towing customers
When you call us or bring in a vehicle, we collect what we need to do the work: your name, phone number, details about your vehicle, and, for a tow, where the vehicle is and where it is going.
When you leave a message on our phone line, we keep the recording for 90 days. We keep a written transcript of the message with your request.
Vehicle buyers
If you buy a vehicle from us, we keep the records a sale requires, such as your name, address, and the title and registration paperwork.
Employees
We keep the records needed to employ, schedule, and pay our staff, including contact details and mobile phone numbers.
Website visitors
This website does not require an account and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you contact us by phone or email, we receive whatever information you choose to send us.
Text Message Communications
Biggie Auto sends text messages to its own mechanics who have signed a written SMS consent form. Messages are limited to:
- Truck issues reported by delivery drivers: the truck, how serious the problem is, and what was reported
This program does not send marketing or promotional messages of any kind, and it does not send messages to customers or the general public.
Consent is collected in writing. There is no verbal opt-in and no public sign-up form. Giving consent is optional and is not a condition of employment. The full opt-in process, the exact text of the consent form, and our record-keeping practice are published in our SMS consent and opt-in process. Program terms are published in our Text Message Terms and Conditions.
Message frequency varies and depends on how many truck problems drivers report. On a typical day a mechanic receives a few messages; when several trucks report problems at once, that number may be higher. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we send a single confirmation message and send no further messages to that number. You may opt back in at any time by replying START. Reply HELP at any time to receive a short message identifying us and telling you how to reach us.
No sharing of mobile information
Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent information are used solely to deliver the messages described in this program. Biggie Auto does not share or sell mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the messaging service provider we use to deliver messages on our behalf, and only as needed to deliver those messages.
Mobile phone numbers and text-message opt-in information are excluded from the service-provider sharing described elsewhere in this Policy.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. Aside from mobile opt-in information, which is handled as described above, we share personal information only in these cases:
- With service providers who do work on our behalf, such as our phone and messaging provider and our payroll processor. Each receives only what that work requires.
- With state agencies, when a vehicle sale requires title or registration filings.
- With regulators, law enforcement, or other parties where the law requires it, or where needed to establish or defend legal claims.
Data Security
We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards suited to the information we hold. Signed consent forms and employee records are restricted to staff whose work requires access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this Policy, to run the business, and to meet our legal obligations. Phone message recordings are deleted after 90 days. Records of text-message consent and of consent withdrawal are kept for as long as we run the program, and afterward for as long as needed to show compliance.
Children’s Privacy
Our services and this website are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
